Wifes CX: Mini Might
I just received a package from San Francisco thank's to Eric. When I was looking for a CX bike for the wife he offered up something that my frugal wife said: "Wow…but it will be too much…it is custom and gorgeous…" (his wife and mine are nearly fitting the same bike size/reach etc)
What she did not tell me is her price threshold from this bike increased and now it sits assembled after a trip to Germany. When I can get some good pics, I will post but Eric did a great job with them on his website (page 3 for this bike and a link to the build itself). The artistry and details are extraordinary! This is craftsmanship at its best! Even though it is about 6cm smaller in frame than what I ride…the test/shake out was sublime! Not to mention the details in the stem and head tube! Great color and finish by Mr Anderson as well. I would like to thank Eric and his assistance and taking my few calls on setting it up…and as well, other issues! A great builder and support to go with it! Thanks Eric!

Btw, is the insignia considered a Mon?

It pretty intentionally has that feel (art school kid background), but I wouldn't consider it a Mon proper as it's not specifically familial.
A little bit about the plum emblem snipped from my web site: "In Chinese artistic tradition the plum tree is one of the three friends of winter; pine, bamboo and plum. These three plants are cold weather resistant and Winter flowering. Plum, with its small, fragrant blossom, represents inner strength and beauty under adversity." In addition to the head badge you may see it poke up as a stylistic embellishment from time to time. ![]() |

I've been working on a number of rando bikes lately. These last few weeks I've had a little change of pace with a few road bikes.
I'll get some photos once these are built up, but here are some fun construction shots: Road bikes- Construction on a new frame set dubbed the "Hanabi". 650b road bike with bilaminate and some fun details. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm putting together another rando bike, this time headed to S. Korea. All fillet brazed- these are some shots from today. Fresh fillets, still hot and with the flux on.

Shirts are $16 shipped in the US, $30 most of the rest of the world. Patches are $5 (I don't know what it would be to ship a patch outside of the US on it's own, but I can look into it).
