The POC Ventral helmets, both the regular and Air variants, are excellent helmets - I abandoned the Giro helmets I had been using since 1987.

The orange AVIP versions are very... very.... did I say very... bright. If you want to be seen on the bike you can't beat it.

For those of you recommending POC helmets - I had their fluorescent yellow octal a couple of years back and it faded to a dull white in 7 months. They warrantied it and I started using UV protector on the 2nd one and I noticed it starting to fade in a matter of months. Maybe it was just that color, but I gave up on them.

I've had mine for about ten months now and haven't noticed any fading.
