Been slowly building this Trek 660, but now it's "finished" and I'm beginning to get some miles on it.

Congrats. I own that exact same bike, except my decals are almost all gone due to fading from the southern California sun, but otherwise it still rides very nicely. I use to train and race this bike so it has a lot of miles on it. My bike was not a factory equipped bike, I bought the frame and fork by themselves and had all Suntour Superbe components put on it. I even still use the yellow color for all my handlebar tapes I replaced over the years, I once tried a yellow and red stripe look (using one yellow and one red roll overlapping each other for the strip effect) but it looked sort of strange, but I kept it on till it wore out. I also at the time I bought the frame and fork bought a yellow Silca Impero plastic frame pump that came with a Campy head, I still have the pump but I no longer use it, instead it's on display in my bookcase, but it does still work and looks almost new.

The reason I got the 660 instead of the 760 was because when I test rode a 760 I got the frame to flex too much, the brakes would rub on both sides of the rear wheel the chain would rub on both sides of the front derailleur, so the sales guy said I was too strong for that lighter frame and had me try a 660...no more rubbing issues, so I got the 660.

I thought about restoring the paint and decals but now I've decided against it, so I may sell it some day because I have too many bikes, and need to par down to just three, and I know which three I want to keep.

Rensho Allez

I have a 1993 trek 5900 OCLV which still rides perfect, but I have been dabbling in my roots. My first love with bikes was the 3Rensho Specialized Allez. I managed to find 2 last year in my size and have been riding it lately. Still rides beautifully. The 6 speed cassette is fairly limited, but is adequate. I found that a cheap $5.00 5-6 speed chain works much better than the 6-8 speed chain.

I guess I can share this one here too. Still sorting it out but did another nice 25 mile ride on it today.

Paletti beautifully built with EL OS tubing and now sporting a nice Campagnolo 9 speed setup.
