Funny, Cool, and Interesting **** You've Seen on Your Rides...
Saw this on my way home today and had to laugh. I can just imagine the conversation:
Homeowner: You promised me "Walden Pond." All I see is a bunch of concrete slabs. VT Construction: Apologies. The supply chain is a real bitch right now. We've become a little "unstuck in time." |

Not according to the bio. But they really should hire him.

I believe that Dr. Wilbur Daffodil-11 Swain is the CEO.

I regularly ride through Topanga Canyon. There are a ton of interesting pieces of **** because … it's Topanga Canyon. They all leave me amused or bemused but I've never stopped to capture any of them. Among my favorites are:
- A very large Kilroy (as in, "was here") peeking over the top of a fence. - An installation that has turned a large, split trunk, topped Eucalyptus into what looks like a giant slingshot. Come on down for a ride and I'll give ya a tour. |

This one still cracks me up--juvenile humor alas. Passed by this church while touring on PEI. Note the Reverend's name!

I saw a sign outside of a dispensary while on a ride here in Boulder county the other day: "The turkey's not the only thing getting baked this Thanksgiving!"

Saw this when we were in Brewster MA. Right before the entrance to 6A. I guess someone was in a hurry to beat the traffic.
Second one is from Stanton NJ. Up the road from the general store. |

Saw this Chuckie doll trapped behind the metal window grate at the old Greystone Hospital. A notoriously bad mental health institution for anyone outside of NJ.
Second is the window of the Lindbergh house that the baby was abducted through by Hauptmann. Last edited by Hank Scorpio; 11-30-2021 at 10:26 PM. |

That is eerily cool. The “Crime of the Century” before O.J. At the time, there was a lot of controversy over the verdict. The passage of time seems to have rendered that verdict correct. |

I saw this take on 'Vegas' on a garage door in France on October. Pretty cool drawing of an old car, suicide doors and all

A few years ago I saw a fox running on the side of the road. Pretty normal, no? As I got closer the fox was running with a full sandwich in its mouth.
Video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flsuAmJKJt0 Second story is: I was once out on a ride in rural Iowa and it started raining super heavy, like flash flood heavy. The field water drainage was so strong that it flooded the road and I had to make a pitstop at a lone house. Turns out it was a retirement party and I stayed for an hour or so, had a meal and a few beers, and had a buddy come pick me up taking the long route. Yes, those guys are canoeing in the ditch. We used to have a Dodge car in a tree along one of our routes. It had A12 painted on the roof. If that means anything to you, you're old.
