that's cool.

FYI, a cut piece of road inner tube is a perfect sleeve for both the dynaplug and the CO2 cylinder to prevent clanging (and keep your fingers from freezing when you discharge the CO2)

After seeing a cycling tips article on ratchets, went and got a wera bit driver set and bits. Will make adjusting g a few things easier.

What I really need is either a 15mm thin wall socket or campy peanut butter wrench.

Realized a while ago that I'd lost my valve core removal tool so bought a pair of Granite Design Juicy Nipples presta valve core remover caps. After they arrived I checked my spare tubes and … not a single removable core in the bunch. D'oh

Where do they come up with the names for these things? I can almost imagine losing my job if I was found to be in possession of such a thing.

I still live in the pre-tubeless world, so I guess I'm safe.

Very compressive, patchwork of different fabrics, all black, but different finishes--they look great. Seriously warm. Very comfortable to have minimal kit to stay warm in frigid temps. Rode them today in freezing rain high 20sF temps. Great for wet, east coast cold.


Mavic Crossmax Pro Thermo+ shoe covers (booties) size XXL. Relatively easy to get on and off of SPD shoes. Not great for walking in the mud though, bc mud caked between bootie and shoe, but I don't know how this could be avoided with walkable shoes. Great at $26 shipped.

Both excellent products--highly recommend.

Refreshed my 2007 Campy 10sp jockey wheels for less than $20. Should be good to go for another 15 years.
