Bike Recyclery: High End Vintage/Modern Bikes & Parts {New Vendor}

Hello! my name is Justyne, and I am the owner of Bike Recyclery, an E-commerce vintage & used bicycle shop based in Portland, Oregon! We specialize in high level items from the 1960's to early 2000's, but dabble in ephemera as early as 1920 and modern inventory. There's a good mix of road, MTB, track, randonneur, and even old school BMX. Campagnolo is a heavy focus of the site, as are the top offerings from Shimano, Suntour, and SRAM. We LOVE 1990's anodized parts, and can't keep them in stock. Complete bikes are typically museum quality or very expensive modern, with the occasional rider-condition bikes. We have been in business for over a decade now, and as of now I am still a one woman operation!

I am in the business of fulfilling dreams of vintage bicycle lovers and modern riders. What I do is give people access to the collectors/retired mechanics/shop basements/everyday folks with treasure troves in their garages/attics. I'm curating and doing the heavy lifting for them; tracking that stuff down and cleaning it up. It's mostly top level, rare, or eccentric stuff. A lot of people come to me and are thrilled they can now afford this "unobtainable" thing they only dreamed about when they were kids. At the same time, I am providing a service to the sources of these bikes and parts, by cleaning out their garages in exchange for cash or more bike gear.

WE BUY BIKES & PARTS!

We are actively seeking out bikes, frames, parts, accessories, and memorabilia to purchase, with a higher focus on NIB/NOS stuff. Whether you are a weekend warrior who wants to sell a few items to feed your habit, have had an old bike taking up space in your basement for the last 20 years, or are closing your bike shop and want to liquidate, we can help!

VINTAGE BIKE MUSEUM!

I put a lot of love and effort into my photographs and listings, and I want the world to have access to the knowledge I've curated in my listings. When a really rare or cool item sells, it's listing gets moved to the permanent online museum! It's currently pretty full with bikes, but I have just started listing the components/memorabilia. There is a LOT more to come.

Stocked inventory & rotating inventory

A large percentage of our stock is a unique item we have one of, and we tend to list new items at least 3-4 days a week. The best way to keep up with what I'm listing is the Just In category at top left, and signing up for our news letters (bottom of the website). As for our stocked inventory, we lean towards brands that have MAP policies and other unique items. We recently bought out a lot of Norther Cycle's inventory, and we have a bunch of randonneur gear in stock. Fender/rack hardware, fenders, tires, lights, etc from Rene Herse, Nitto, Velo Orange. We always have a supply of braze on ergo/sti adapters from Campy and Shimano. We bought out Hippie Tech Suspension Works a few years ago, and still have a bit of NOS Rockshox and Manitou fork repair parts & decals left.

Happy pedaling!

Welcome and shout out....

Welcome to the Paceline!

I would just like to do a big shout out to Justyne... you folks are amazing! I have purchased many NOS and close to NOS items from your shop...in fact just scored a perfect 10 speed record group just last week!

Your prices are fair and reasonable, shipping is really fast, and even the used items are always better than described.

I can't say enough good things about your business..or your products!

Welcome to the best forum on the planet!

3rd'ing the love for Bike Recyclery. They've helped me get some hard to find parts for some of my generation old rides (36h Campy hubs, 150mm MTB stem, etc). Always easy to work with and great communication.

Welcome! Happy you're back in Portland.

Thanks for describing the parts I sold you as well used and not worth much and selling them as nearly new. Never mind stiffing me on fees.

I did email you. I'm done with you, and don't like your business model. I think you are a scammer, bad mouthing peoples nice parts and reselling them for crazy markups with deceptive descriptions.

You are now blocked, as are other less than honest sellers here are.

Buyer beware!

I honestly don't even know who you are, but I'm still and always here to talk if you decide you want to. The best I and any seller can do is to take accountability for our mistakes and provide solid clear communication.

I’ve bought parts from Justyne online and sold parts to her in person at the Tucson swap. Never a problem.

The LOOK team CA KG381 frameset on the site is tempting, but I think I may be a little too "buff" to rock that.

All good

All good experience with two orders so far. Answered the phone and v helpful with my questions, this at the height of the troubles in Portland (and across the country) in the spring/summer of 2020.
