Photos; there’s a trend with some riders who use a nice strap to enable them to carry nice DSLRs while riding! It’s impressive!

I had the opportunity to ride with Mr. Many Styles at Cycle Oregon this year.

This bike looks amazing in person. The wheelset is classy. Mr. Many Styles is good people and I enjoyed meeting/riding with him.

Sorta makes me want to paint my Ti rig.

Yet another Moots Vamoots CR

Now that it’s been a few weeks since coming back from Cycle Oregon, I couldn’t be happier about the Moots!

I’ve been having some weird wrist issues, where I can’t have too much pressure on it. Happened a ride where I rode across this wooden bridge, and shortly after, my hand/wrist just felt achy.

So before the trip, I got a fit about 1-2 months before. Going to a fitter is a mixed blessing. I’ll obviously fit the bike, feel more comfy and probably ride faster! But the Designer, and vanity in me was sad to hear I had to swap my beautiful 120mm Moots stem, to a 90!

While cramming in miles before Oregon, I picked up some carbon bars (first time ever!) and I’m sold! Reduced the road buzz tremendously! I decided to start riding with gloves and I picked up a 90mm stem, and I thought MAYYBEEE I could get away with a 100.

I ended up having to flip the 100mm stem, and I had no pain in the wrist!

At the end of the day, I was really excited I could attend Cycle Oregon with some old friends, met some new ones there, and will have those high desert Oregon canyon descents seared into my memory!

I’m hoping the wrist issue will get resolved, so I can rock a stem with a drop, and I’ve been chatting with Scooby Drew to talk me out of selling the frame, in the name of vanity Ha ha.

Never sell that frame! Also, I hope the wrist heals quickly!

Update: snapped up a set of eeBrakes in black from CC’s BF sale! Perfect as I had a difficult time stuffing my ENVE 2.2s in my current calipers, even with the QR open wide.

I can confidently say after the brakes. I’m done with the bike.

Also figured a solution to still rock a 100mm stem with a super short reach bar. Still need to do a short ride to feel how the fit feels.

CC only has black for sale. I would have loved the limited El Platino tho!

I had a set of EEBrakes in the cart for the entirety of CC’s BF sale only to hold off on buying them until I can justify(stomach) the additional money for a set of el Platinos.

As I’ve stated before, love this bike. Hope the new bar resolves the wrist issues.

I did the same too! I justified it by selling some extra parts I don’t need. I haven’t ridden the road bike in a few weeks, so I’m hoping time off from the drop would help with the wrist. Thanks for the well wishes!
