Aivee Components from France

Another of the incredible brands we are lucky enough to work with is Aivee of France. This almost 10 year old company is part of a much larger one, Airbus. So they're pretty good with manufacturing high tech components that get stressed heavily. Machined from 7075 aluminum, Aivee hubs are light, strong and designed to be used and abused.

Aivee offers road and mountain hubs with standard 9/10mm quick release axles and 12mm or 15 thru-axles. Shimano/SRAM 11, Shimano Micro Spline 12, SRAM xDR/xD drivers and Campagnolo freehub bodies. A huge plus with them is no specialty tools are required for servicing. They are fully user serviced at home with just Allen keys. Yes, you need a bearing puller for those, but to pull a freehub body and maintain it, doesn't require special tools.

J-Bend style spokes are stock while Straight Pull is available on specific models. EZO stainless steel bearings are stock with ceramic bearings available as an upgrade. Centerlock and 6-Bolt rotor styles are available. Stock colors are blue, orange, black and red. I can offer custom anodized finishes like polished silver, lime and others for a fee.

Road Front hubs start at $70 for the SR2 model to $160 for the Edition One SL.
Mountain front hubs start at $70 for the MT3 model to $180 for the Edition One SL.

It's a 3 or 6 pawl based system. Depending on the hub and its use it changes.
The same goes for the bearing design and how many are used. You can see in the one photo it has 2 bearings under the pawls vs the others that are visible have a single bearing.

just looked at the website. sounds like they use SKF bearings, which is a huge +. SKF makes really great bearings. i will definitely consider a set of these in the future.

They would be. Or for any rims. I have a pair I am building with an Astral Wunderlust rim as well as with their carbon rims. Those will be for show bikes.

Absolutely! It's available in a mountain or road hub shell in J-Bend and straight pull.

No worries. Here is an example of a straight pull front and rear hubs. It's a combination of straight pull and J-Bend. It's a really nice design with the rear. Great spoke tension.

Aivee designed a carbon disc brake rim that is made by one of their Airbus suppliers in France. It's a very nice lightweight rim XC or gravel rim at 358 grams. A 29'er or 700c rim, It has an inner width of 25mm, an outer of 29.5mm. Available in symmetrical and asymmetrical for rear or disc builds and a 28h drilling.

The Aivee SR2(road) and MT3(mountain) hubs are super affordable and have the same great quality as their Edition One hubs.
The SR2 hubs are $70 front / $140 rear
The MT3 hubs are $70 front / $150 rear

Some really nice, lightweight wheels could be built up with these. These are the older Aivee graphics. But it's the SR5 hubs. With soldered and tied Sapim CX-Ray spokes!
