No issues here and I'm using Chorus 12 and I'm not the most elegant mechanic...I'm about to install Record 12 on my other Merlin Extralight, fingers crossed!

If you're in Mexico, why not send them to Campy NA? Would've been a lot faster. And they are Campy owned. So it's not like sending them to a distributor.

I installed Campy Record 12 on my Gängl Custom Titanium bike and had no issues at all. Super easy and only took a lazy afternoon to install and have it completely dialed.

Looking at your photos (on my phone) it appears that the part that holds the cable pinch bolt is broken.

Just wondering if you used a torque wrench to tighten the cable pinch bolt? I believe Campy recommends only torquing it to 5nm.

Using much more torque can cause failure of the part.

I agree. Especially since Campy NA has not had one break before.

Chorus 12 on three bikes with no rear shifting issues. I prefer Campy 12 rear shifting to Campy 11, which feels mushy by comparison.

Yup. Just ordered a replacement from Probike, discount code DECLINEUS. I bought this second hand, so I don't think a warranty claim will get me anything.

Showed Campy the pics and spoke to them. They said they have seen a few of these. Usually happens due to over-tightening the bolt which is 5nm. People have admitted to using an L-Shaped Allen wrench on them and wrenching on them. They did say they added more material to them to try and avoid people over-tightening them. They started doing that within a couple months of 12 coming out. If it's happening now, you're tightening it WAY too much according to them.

Good information. I can’t help it would take a huge amount of torque to break a chorus RD. Interested to see if a picture of that one surfaces.

Considering it's outer is alloy, I don't know how he could've broken it. Not by just tightening it anyways.
