Old love and new love

I had my old bike it is perfect but it is 31 years old
So I get a new bike and I love it too
On a twenty mile ride with 1500 feet of climbing
On two different day with similar weather
My times were virtually the same
New bike has 1x11 with a forty up front and a 11-32
Old bike campy compact 10 setup
Today new bike is getting a 11-40 setup ,should help climbing.
I ride both bikes equally
I suspect I will be faster On tomorrow’s mornings ride With the new gearing
But every time I ride my old bike it is new love again It feels like part of me ,any way the old me is not fast as the young me was .
The one thing new bike has is the ability to use fatter tires and easily ride off road
I am grateful to be able to ride after my accident and have these two bikes
Cheers to all

Who said, nothing is better than an old friend, unless it's a new one you can make an old one out of!

Great to see the Bottecchia getting in some miles. I have a Bottecchia with the same paint scheme, and I don't think mine is getting ridden as much as Fixed's.

BTW, love the view!

Hawk Hill!

That's a challenging climb, but better now that cars are blocked out...
