So why does tubeless require the rim to be heavier when tubeless allows the psi to be lower? it seems like tubeless has come a fair ways but since there is not an accepted standard, there is an element of hit and miss. And today, with the internet, we can get some anecdotal information. So there has been lots of bad experiences and some good. At the end of the day, latex tubed clincher might be faster, but there are downsides, no? air leakage, flat resistance?
