I have found them to be more than capable
The rx4 have much better pad engagement and level feel, significantly more power that is more usable, and bring me to a stop much quicker all else equal.

Not a ton of stopping power, and as a nice benefit the hope calipers mount up without any adapters which I always found ugly AF.

Builder was kind enough to buy and send some of that synthetic lube from the UK and FedEx it to me quickly. I cleaned and lubed the pistons. One of the sticky pistons seems to be better, the other not so much.

Think just going to swap the front out with a new caliper.

Dunno, but if it helps my RX4+s are mounted on an Enve Adventure fork with what looks like a standard mount. No idea if it's Hope or not.

Hope RX4 Thoughts

Ok, I installed my new front caliper and guess what?! I’m having the same damn issue! Outer pistons are stuck in the open position!

I’ve let Hope CS know, but this is me just venting.

Anyone who bleeds their own calipers, which instructions are you using? Are you following Hope’s video to the T?

Maybe there’s air behind it and it’s just not moving. It’s not always easy to get all the air out the first time.

I still don't have a matching set of these after nearly a year. I have a black rear RX4 and I have a black universal RX4+. I actually paid for a 2nd universal RX4+ but someone else beat me to it I guess. That person probably has 1 caliper as well. Hopefully the one I paid for will get restocked early in 2022.

These things were tough to find even back when I got them a year ago Can't imagine now.

I’ll try rebleeding the system again

I saw some instructions somewhere about how to get air out from behind pistons but I can't remember if it was hope, formula, or someone else.

After bleeding it a few times, I don’t think it’s the caliper anymore.

It might be the MC in the lever: https://youtu.be/gqEHA2dRgqs

Might need to disassemble lever and lube the seals in the MC.
