On a brand spanking new bike too. He was obviously pleased with it the way he was patting it as he crossed (see what I did there) the line.

amazing performance, he is a cycling god !

... sprints, time trials, hill climbs, and cx...

maybe the hour record one day?

so many had dreams but not many follow through, which is why alex dowsett should be awarded so much well deserved praise

on another note, what was cervelo thinking with an electric only frameset?

im told the new DA rear derailleur, that houses the "brains" of the system ( i use that term loosely) is around $1k to replace

that crash just got that much more pricey

ouch !!!

It's got to hurt to be one of the second tier of cyclocross racers, winning at the beginning of the season, but knowing it's only a matter of time until the big boys show up.

Who's tier 1 and tier 2? Or, does anyone besides MVDP and WVA belong in the top tier? Pidcock and Iserbyt are the only others with arguable claims, I think.

...

The Cervelo frame doesn't need mechanical provisions because precious few people without a component sponsorship will ever ride it. They met the UCI stipulation of a commercially available frame, but this thing only exists so WvA and Vos don't have to ride rebadged Felts or whatever.

Toon Aerts was on WvA's wheel before hitting the deck twice in the disaster corner. He slipped back to 6th or so before coming back to finish 2nd.

That course favored riders with a big engine. Smaller riders like Pidcock, Iserbyt, and van der Haar were struggling. They were all in the top 10 but weren't going to win.

Yeah that was a dominant performance. I’ve really enjoyed this season without the heavies around.

It was fun to see Boon with mud. It's been drier the last few years and everyone would storm those grassy climbs. That new french Worlds course was awesome too.
