Best I can do.. Never seem to take pics anymore

Did some laps with teammate and fellow paceliner Astrov on West Leg up on Hood yesterday.. 2000' each lap, starting at 4000 topping out at 6000... Nothin much for you coloradans, but that's what we call altitude training here at sea level!

Great climb, hugely under-appreciated by the local race community.. Pretty even 6% the whole way, no traffic, Timberline Hwy is a great descent racing/chasing/passing cars, and West Leg is a hugely aesthetically pleasing route up..

I didn't know about that climb - need to get up and ride that. Thanks!

Dancing with the Devil

It's been about 20 years since the last ascent of Mt. Diablo and that was by the south gate. Had a great time today going up from the north gate. Pretty hazy day, but still an awesome view at the top.

I forgot to bring a spare tube or patch kit, so I took the second bike up in case I got a flat

Photos from your rides.

Getting used to this "altitude" thing around New Castle, CO today

And the view from the ranch is not bad at all.

Series opener tonight on the "cheap" CX bike

Blind Date at the Dairy, Alpenrose Dairy, Portland Or

8th of 42.... threw my chain four times (going to 1x up front henceforth), crashed once, and rode the final two laps with a crooked saddle AND a completely bent front shifter - which caused my front brake to rub for the whole of the final lap.

It's cool... will podium next week.
