Another Campy FD topic.

I’ve been using Campy on my builds for awhile now and this is the first time I’ve run into this issue. I installed Centuar 11 and the FD cable is rubbing against the backside of the FD body. According to Campy, I would need a particular washer, part # FD-CE011 in place of the regular washer with the pinch bolt. On the trainer, I didn’t see any issues shifting up front but the cable was definitely contacting the FD body.
I’ve contacted several local shops in NYC and LI. Of course, no one has it and only see a bunch of EU based retailers online.
Has anyone run into this before? Any possible DIY solutions?

is the low limit set correctly? I had this issue when I installed a new FD and then set my low limit and it went away. In the past the low limit was screwed in more and setting the limit something I did last but now I do it at time of mounting the FD

eMAIL: service@campagnolona.com and ask who near you can order it...

I had this issue as the frame I had put the cable too close.

I had to buy a couple of those, it's $10-15 for that silly washer!

I'm partial to Campagnolo gear, but the pricing on most of their spare parts is a bit absurd. When I built up my Merlin Empire with 11 spd. Chorus I was excited to complete the build, but then realized I needed one more thing - that stupid, overpriced washer! FWIW, bought one off eBay, you might try that route. It seems like a part that they could include with the derailleur, since it seems like it is frequently needed.

It seems to be a backordered part as two other online retailers just replied to my inquiry; nothing on eBay either. The search continues.

You might consider contacting PL user gfk_velo (Graeme). Based in Europe but considering the difficulty you're having, he may be able to sort you out.

I sent an email this morning to Glory Cycles and another local shop in Brooklyn called Bike Ahead but no responses as of yet.

I bought one of those washers earlier this year on ebay, from seller wheelandsprocket. They don't appear to have any listed at the moment, but they are a real shop located in Wisconsin so they might be worth a call.
