PF30 BB help

I need a new BB
I was going to get a one-piece or threaded unit to hopefully quell creaking but there's a cable guide screw boss protruding into the BB shell.
So BBinfinite a Wheels Mfg are out. Praxis doesn't make one.
Any suggestions for either a threaded unit with a small inner diameter or a 2-piece that doesn't suck?

68mm width, 30mm spindle

I always had good luck with the Chris King PF30 / bb386 pressfit BB's when they were still available. Bearings were top notch, and as long as you used retaining compound or high quality grease depending on frame spec it remained creak free.

Others had mixed reviews, but even with some frames that are known for spotty tolerances (cannondale, open) I never had an issue when installed properly.

Put some washers between the bb cable guide screw and the cable guide, such that it no longer protrudes through the bb shell. $0.10 fix from the local hardware store.

I dont think its the bolt that is protruding ? That would idd be an easy fix.

I just blew up a Chris King after 4 years - it's what's being replaced

The screw itself isn't really the problem, it's the boss into which the screw is threaded.

You should be able to file it down.

I already did file it as much as I feel comfortable doing so.
I'd rather find a BB alternative rather than do more surgery inside the shell where a small mistake can make the frame useless.

Thread drift, but James Huang at Cyclingtips really doesn't like PF30. He says it has poor bearing life due to the narrow bearing spacing.

I guess I'll just have to be vigilant about maintenance on my CK PF30.

If you have an external bearing PF30, that's not an issue.

...don't forget the Loctite 609 retaining compound with your install, otherwise, creaks/squeaks are all but guaranteed.

I had that same prob on a Fuji but with PF86

I did as others suggested & dealt with the cable guide (rivet in my case)
by removing it & replacing with short nut & screw with screw facing out
(head inside BB)
For BB I used that wheels BB in your photo & it was fine. Still creaked from time to time & needed to be removed/re tightened

These days on a PF30 I ride I use Campy cups so I just use green loctite & never have a creak

You might try that?....using green loctite on your regular PF30 BB
