NJ Gentleman's Ride - June 14

I can't imagine this is much more than an hours drive from where I live in Northern NJ. I get back from a business trip on the Saturday morning and have a pass to make the ride on Sunday. 😃

Any Details Yet?

I was hoping there would be a meeting place and time and a firmer estimate of the ride distance posted by now, so people could confirm they'll be there. Today is the cutoff for early registration for the Hat City Cyclefest which is also on Sunday and I'm trying to figure out which one I'm going to ride.

Agreed Paul.
Sorry Nick but I needed a bit more notice to get the time off work and set up a place to stay. It looks great but I can't make it now.
Have a great ride guys (and gals) if it happens.

sadly, i have to postpone this ride. new date TBD.

i really do apologize for having to do this, work has been ass-kicking lately, and we now have a major evolution that is, of all weekends, going to fall on this coming one. new date will be published ASAP.

Nick

No Worries, Thanks for the update

Life happens and work is a Four Letter Word, so I understand. I've ridden in your general area and it's great. Hope to make it when the rescheduled date is announced.

Boy, you don't know how much I miss the peace and serenity of riding roads like you have posted here. I'd like to make a ride like this if possible as long as it didn't have me forever lost in the Ramapo hillbilly country never to emerge and it was permissible to ride my own pace.

Then I'll ride with you.

Some riders have no idea how miserable a group ride can be when their view of how they wanna do a ride is what a group should "stick together - no drops" and do. Half wheeled all day long. All they do is pout about how slow they gotta go. Sheesh. Pin on a freakin' number and go your own way...

I for one am jazzed. I was frustrated I couldn't make it on the original date. Hopefully I can make it when it's rescheduled.
Thanks for organizing this.

I think this is South of

Ramapo area. More like Oldwick, Bernardsville, Mendam, Hunterdon and Somerset Counties?

I echo those sentiments fuzzalow. What ever happened to the sheer joy of riding? I'll be happy to ride with you at whatever pace you want.
I'd still love to do this ride. I will scope it out when you post the new date Nick.
