Well, this sucks.

Sunny, mid 70s and low humidity. Saw my seat sideway and then realized the collar is broken.

Oh well, at least this didn't happen when I was doing the 70 mile ride last weekend.

Time to look for a Thompson.

Sorry your ride was cancelled, but, one of the easiest and cheapest repairs! .

At least it wasn’t integrated clamp.

I’ve always wanted to try a Wolftooth. Been impressed with their other products. Lots of color choices, if that’s your thing.

Well, I have had a Thompson seatpost clamp (collar) break, so it's not like that is the ultimate answer. Broke under static load - rolled bike out to load up for a race, found it broken.

dkg made clamps for Steelman and Soulcraft, and for many current brands. I have one on my Soulcraft. Works fine, and comes in silver or black. The ATB model is slightly beefier with a larger bolt.

My other favorite is the Salsa Lip Lock. The design ensures the bolt will never bend as you tighten. Bonus: they come in LOTS of colors! I have one on my Rock Lobster.

What size do you need? I've got a silver dkg in 30.0mm you can have for the price of postage.

It sucks indeed.
Can recommend the Salsa one instead of the Thomson.

Oh SNAP! That sucks big time. And now I am going to buy some spares for my bikes so I have them on hand in case this happens to me...

Not if mine is any indication as it has been on my steel bike for many years no issues.
