OT but this reminds me of Sebastian Maniscalco's bit about doorbells and company. It's so true: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Swzvm-gXHg

I have a wireless Arlo. Really good night image. Good battery life, maybe 3-4 months. Awful motion sensor. It normally senses someone as they're walking away.

Definitely, if you’re in a theft prone area, that is a concern. I think they have an option for cloud storage if that’s a concern to you. I believe cheaper than Nest.

It records clips when it detects movement. Mine is 16gb, I believe so it holds on the average of a week’s worth of footage before it gets recorded over.

Another option would be an outdoor camera you can mount high above the front door. This way, theft is less of a concern and you still get notifications when someone comes to the door.

Ditch the camera and build a secure automated package solution. A robot with a bin lives inside the box and takes its goods through the gate.

Not bad but probably depends on your internet connection. Mine’s probably 5-10 seconds after the person hits the bell. Then it’s pretty good when conversing. Maybe just a second or two, if that.

They do have a 30 day trial period. In case it doesn’t work out for you.
