+1 for parting out. Totally understand not wanting to, but $2300 may be a bit much for someone to sink into a rim brake frame.

The mixed brand drivetrain is probably a turnoff for most who would spend this much for a rim brake road bike, or want a titanium road bike, etc.
That goes to parting out- more work but you can put up each component and sell to others who just need that specific component and nothing more.

The pics display it well and show little wear on anything, which is an obvious plus.

Here in Seattle, I'm seeing a lot of rim-brake bikes sit in craigslist for a long time if they're over $1500. I'm not saying it's impossible, but there's a big supply and not much demand. It would have to be something unique and desired.

I had a feeling the mixture of parts was not going to be a good idea. I got the frame in July 2020 and had to settle on the other parts by the end of Sept so I could ride it before the winter. I wanted to go sram red all around for a 17# build. I never weighed the bike but would estimate 17.5 - 18# as is. Looks like a parting out might be my option.
Thanks for all the info.

Probably correct. I’m just going on how difficult they were to sell to make my desired margin - Lynskey ranks worse on my small sample size. I actually like most models, the only real dud was the Helix, did not like the ride on that but that may have been more the wheelset than frame. Welds looked like crap on that one as well but others were fine.

A used Lynskey gravel frameset will probably sell for $800 to 900--roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of what it was new.

A used Moots gravel frameset will probably sell for $3200 to $3800--roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of what it was new.

The prices are lower for a Lynskey--new and used, but in percentage terms they seem to depreciate similarly, and in absolute terms, the Moots will depreciate a lot more.

What kills it is that you can't any thing larger than a 25mm tire and is definitely out of fashion.

Do you really want to wait until late Summer when sales of bikes usually slows A LOT?

Not too many years ago I looked at someone strangely if they had a 25mm on their bike and not a 23. Now if it's not 28 or bigger they get the stink eye.

I may part out at the end of this month. It has been for sale since Jan. with only low ball offers of less than 1500. I guess I'm frustrated it hasn't sold.

These easton rims measure 19mm interior width with vittoria rubino pro tires on 700x 25c and there is clearance and no problems. I had another set of wheels Kinlin rims 17mm interior and had 700x28c tires with no problems. I know Lynskey's site said 25mm but that combo worked without any clearance issues. I wouldn't go wider than 19mm interior rim and 25mm tires which is what's on now. I'm 195lbs and no issues.

There's nothing wrong with that frame, it's just that the kind of person who wants that frame isn't going to be the same person who wants to pay for that group set. That's why you'll get more money parting it out.

Isn't that front derailleur worth half the frame worth?

Nothing wrong with them buy Lynskeys do not do well on the secondary market. The last one I sold was a 2018 model, flat mount disc brakes, fork and headset. Excellent condition.

It took me forever to get just $650 for it. In hindsight I should have just kept it as it was a nice frame set and I felt like I more or less gave it away.

I prefer rim brakes. Nice that they can be bought for reasonable sums nowadays, but definitely tougher to sell. The only disc brakes I have are on a mountain bike that I keep around just to be social, which happens to be a Lynskey. Parting out will likely be easier, as others have noted. I just sold a rim brake frame today after not selling it complete.
