Proud parent moment - now with video!

My son made it all the way up our neighborhood hill for the first time without assistance today. We’ve got to climb this hill to get anywhere, except the high school he’ll likely attend in 9+ years.
Bike is a single speed 16” Woom. He turned 4 this December.

If I am doing the math right, that is an almost 8% grade for about 0.2 miles!

Very impressive...

This will happen at some point... your kid will have a crash and will cry the heck out of it eventhought was nothing... just grab him and put the kid back in the bike or you will have a hard time after wards. So kiss the wounds away, sit the kid back in the bike and go... if you get scare the kid will panic so... sounds cold what i'm saying, im conscious of that... but if you make a big deal out of the situations it will be a good deal for the kid aswell... just wipe it off and continue, life is like that aswell you know.

I very much dislike them! But the freeway noise is worse.

As you should be. Quite the accomplishment. Let alone the quality bonding time with Mom and Dad.

Good form. Up and out of the saddle occasionally to stretch the legs.

Oh I didn't know you were so close to the freeway. We live on the west side of I-5 and east of Gilman and the freeway is a distant hum that we don't even notice and The aircraft aren't really supposed to fly over our area but sometimes----------you know-----they do.
