Still not sure why I got rid of this. Fantastic all-rounder tires.
Overhyped/overpriced? Pretty subjective, but I have yet to ride 26er tires that could go pretty fast on pavement and handle dry single track no problemo.

Right?!?! I had forgotten I had commented on that thread (to support Jan coming on to answer questions, etc).. pretty sure that might have been the thread that steered me away from that site..

As I said earlier, lots of great people on there, but man o man on some of them.. just feels like such a need to say the right thing at the right time to be "with it".. certainly a lot of "not my in my club" in that thread..

My longest ride ever was on 700C x 23. Wonder if that throws off Jan's calculations.

I think from now on when the biching and moaning starts we just should post countless pictures of rad bikes.

I love that Bridgestone, so rad

Right on, here's the winner of DKXL, a 350 mile gravel ride. A little under 23 hours on 40mm tires. He actually had narrower tires than most of the top 25 in the 200 mile event

Trying to get into bikes again and just got done recabling this guy, its a fantastic bike but always hated those ritchey handlebars and have been lazy to re-tape and re-cable (since moving a size bigger), just can't do no flat tops any longer. I still have it it seems, re-cabled the whole bike and just waiting on a couple things and it will be back in action

40mm is basically the tire most people choose at DK, its btw a 38 and a 40.

But lets be honest, do we really think that dude would have lost if he had a 45?

Here's the Transcon 2022 winner's bike, 28mm tires, 9 days 14 hours

I'm sure he'd have been just as fast on 44s

Some simple roll-down tests would give a real world number or how fast or not-as-fast the tires are. It's super easy to do, free, repeatable and easy to understand.

And here's Sofiane at the SRMR giving the straight dope. 8+ punctures and pinch flats on his Rene Herse tires.

You keep proving my point, TDR has some brutal sections and yet the winners are always on the same sizes (or even smaller) than the rest of the field - 55mm (actual 52mm) tires for the TDR? Yes, exactly. Come at me with the winner that's on 4.0s or hell even 2.8s. TDR tires have gotten smaller in 15 years of racing the course.

Anyone winning road races on 35s? Bumpy technical crits on 42s? Gravel road races on 54s? Real events, not local yokel 15 person fields and practice races at the airfield.

I saw Jan's favorite indoor go kart track fixed gear champion - but please something real next time. You have your homework, refute me if you can.
