The cyclist would be wise to halt doing video interviews immediately.
Hit and run accidents are terrible yet this would only alienate viewers. |

"The councilwoman at large reportedly claimed she hit her head during the crash and went to a police station several hours later to report the incident after leaving the scene. "

The article refers to the "legal process". This is NJ statute explained: https://traffictickets.com/new-jerse...-129-2c12-1-1/

What is your analysis of the crash?

His analysis of the crash is irrelevant in this case, as is any of ours. Your fault, the other party’s fault, no matter. You stop at an accident scene and wait for the authorities to arrive. That’s your legal obligation. Your moral obligation is to make sure that no one is hurt and needs help. The driver failed in both of these duties and is therefore charged.
Nothing illegal about displaying a lack of empathy for another injured human, no matter who was at fault – but it certainly tells me a lot about a few members here. |

Essentially all posters said cyclist should be way more careful and the motorist should immediately stop and await police/rescue.

I agree. I’ve gotten orders which dictate the pickup time as the current time. Like I’n supposed to teleport there in the blink of an eye. Then customers get upset at delays and sometimes remove tips as punishment. Honestly delivery riders need to know when to just stop and take a breather. The apps will run you into the ground if you let them. Dehydration, fatigue, and distraction are not good when riding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm kind of amazed at that. Is it a lie? Does he really believe that? I mean, there's video evidence. He had to see it, right?
Hey, reverse roles here. Not trying to defend this hit and run when I say that. Just imagine him driving. There's a good possibility he doesn't drive, considering where he lives and his age. Yes, you can live in the NYC metro and move on public transit. So, he has no clue about the rules of the road, other than, some vague, right of way thing. Probably a cheap lawyer or a friend told him that. But, as we all know, there are millions of Americans driving around with very poor understanding of how to operate a car safely. God help us if he buys a cheap Huandai.

Cyclists fault 100%, driver is not a great person either for not stopping. Chalk it up to luck that nobody was hurt and quit trying to cancel people on account of ignorant people.
