Left Crank Stages Power Meter not starting
Hi There Folks,
I got a Stages Power Meter, left crank, that I acquired a couple of years ago. It worked well till it didn't. Recently it accused low battery, as it usually does, so I normally swapped the battery, like I have done *many* times before. This time it didn't start, and neither the Stages App (on my phone) nor the Garmin head unit couldn't connect/find it. Is this a thing with Stages? I remember when I got it it took a week to start or find the Garmin. If anyone has clues or ways to make it work that I haven't tried, please disclose. I took the battery out, then in, then out, then in, etc. Help. Thanks, Gus |

No, its not a stages "thing". Its either dead or partially dead (ie accelerometer not working). Do you have a voltmeter to check the battery? If its good, then I'd call stages tech support.

I had identical situation a few months back. Bought a bike from family member, used single sided Stages PM. Battery warning, etc, etc. They sent me some reboot protocol, didn't work. Not their fault, this is 1st generation unit and not new by any stretch. They could refurbish for about $200. But, they had DA units on sale for $249. Bought new unit, all better now.......

First check your battery then contact stages support. They were great the one time I needed them.
