Uncrush an Elite Fly water bottle
I ordered two of these bottles, from Bikeinn because I wanted the pink 750ml ones, and the box came crushed. I've gotten most of the "dents'" out but there are still some creases. I was thinking of freezing them...other ideas?

Warm them up and somehow inflate them?

Just use them for your next Tour, and toss them at the tifosi next time you're flying around the Champs Elysees.
Or, just send a pic to the vendor and have them claim the damage, my guess is they wouldn't have you return them and they'll send new ones. Not sure you'll successfully get the seams out of that kind of plastic with hot water and you don't want too much heat without hot water as you could release some toxins in the plastic. |

I posted about these on another thread awhile back. These bottles suck. They are advertised as "the lightest bottle", but the problem is the plastic is so thin that they don't even hold their shape under normal use. They are more like a thick disposable bag than a structural durable water bottle. They are better suited for one time pro tour use.

Fill them roughly 75% and freeze them. Water expands as it freezes, so it may pop out the dents.

I may end up agreeing with you! If so, what bottle in 750ml or more do you prefer? And looking for pink…

^^That is what I would try^^
On a side note how was it ordering from Bikeinn? Shipping pretty quick? They often have good prices |

I don't think anything will work, I suggest some Specialized bottles.

As others have said - doubtful that the creases will smooth themselves out.
So, instead use the bottle for caring your extra tubes and levers etc. and free your jersey pockets from bulk. That is what I have been doing as I dont drink much (1 bottle is often enough for my rides). |

Open the nozzle and put it in the freezer with nothing but air in it.
Let it sit in there for about 15 minutes, remove it and immediately close the nozzle. Let it set at room temperature for a while, and see if that's enough If not, put a teeny bit of water at the bottom, put it back in the freezer and let it sit for 10 minutes (nozzle open). Remove it, close the nozzle and put it in the microwave and heat it up a bit, while watching to make sure nothing horrible happens. Good Luck |

Thanks for all the thoughts! I've tried a few and no luck. Probably going to go to Spesh as suggested, because I still think there's a taste from these bottle (princess and the pea effect?)

Can't go wrong with a Specialized bottle. As much as I dislike the brand, I love their bottles and whenever I get one where I have to spend my own money (as opposed to a freebie) that's what I buy.
