Hello to all,

Couple of posters 'across the hall' say they have done it but neither 'rated' for tubeless so...YMMV..If you are going to try it, try the rear first...if it blows off the rim, you may not auger in.

The wheels I've mentioned aren't rated for tubeless, but seems that some people have run them tubeless.
I'm running my Shimano Dura Ace C24-CL in tubeless mode with no issue and I'm very happy with this set up ..... I'd like to buy a full carbon medium profile wheelset and i would run them with tubeless, I love new Fulcrum Speed 40C AC3, now I'm in trouble, he only alternative I think it's Meavic Cosmic Carbon Pro SL C UST, but it's a step down ...... ... |

Why not just get the Shamal 2-ways, which are designed for tubeless by Campy, and be done with it?

I'm looking for a full carbon wheelset with a medium profile 38/42mm.

Or go tubular. Add sealant if you get a leak. Less weight, stronger rim. glue vs. soapy tire beads etc when mounting - a wash so to speak.

How do you repair the tire with a large slash? I still am confused as to the real world practice.

How do you repair a large slash in a clincher? If the cut is large enough you're walking either way.

you dont repair any tire with a large slash, you throw it away and get a new one.

I guess you hope to hell that your dollar bill or Park plastic boot hold if you are on a clincher or else your walking. That said, and at the risk of jinxing myself, I've yet to encounter this scenario on the road. I imagine good tires help in that though. |
