Carbon disc

I have made similar moves in the last year.

Fairly light and Aero (and bombproof)- Enve 3.4 disc with DT240 hubs (tubeless compatible)

Lighter and maybe slightly less aero- Roval SLX 32 disc

No reason why the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL can't be mentioned.

If going all out on the budget, I'd go with Enve 3.4s. Otherwise, I would probably go with Boyd. I've ridden 3.4s a bunch and really like them. Friends have Boyds and really like them. I don't think I like my Enve's twice as much as they like their Boyds.

Boyd and Nox both make what you're looking for. Great rims and customer support. I regularly use both.

The chinese places if you don't need a label:
light bicycle
nextie
gigantex

I use light bicycle since they'll build up with non-generic components and deliver within 3 weeks.

Get a quote emailed to you with the full build sheet, don't leave anything to interpretation.

Verify all parts are in stock and ready to be built up and what the lead time is for assembly/shipping.

Avoid Chinese new years or big holidays unless you have extra patience.

Personally I use their rims, but then use branded hubs/spokes/nipples, although other than being heavy, the generic Novatec/Bitex seem okay too!

Boyd

Have been seeing a lot of very positive mentions here of Boyd carbon wheels. Small, independent manufacturer, good service, which is all good. I'm curious to know specifically how their hubs compare to some of the big established brands, say ENVE with DT Hubs, or Campy hubs?

The latest hub is fairly new, but the specs are excellent. Serviceability is good as well. Internals are standard through the lineup like DT so parts won't be a problem. Flange dimensions are better than DT.

I really like what Boyd has done over the years. He's also a great guy to chat with. Any chance to meet him at one of the shows shouldn't be passed up.
