Sometimes I see groups listed at same price as individual items add up to. Always need to check.

Sold the bike in 89. It was a Pinarello and the Mavic stuff was sweet but I had to pare down to 1 road bike and 1 MTB so I kept a Mercian and a Raleigh MTB.

Maybe it's one bar but they come with two distinct handles, left and right, compared - say - to the tiller in an early automobile (or bicycle?). Don't know about the rest of the English-speaking world, but the plural form seems pretty well established here in the US of A.

Interestingly, the noun is singular in Spanish, Italian, French, and German, so there's that. Same in Japanese ("han-do-ru"), but then the Japanese don't really do plurals in the "western" way. In Hindi it's a rough equivalent of "steeringbar." Wonder about Chinese: that culture likely uses the term more than the rest of us combined, so that should count for something.
