We had an unusually cold ride this past Saturday during the annual fund raising event Armadillo Classic hosted by our local bike advocacy group called Bike Austin. The temperature at the start line was 35 degrees. It was in the 60s and 70s just a couple of days ago, a big drop over night on Friday. Anyway, here's the video.

I was there and that's the coldest ride I've had, at least the coldest I was not prepared for!

Weisan -- I have some cuts, a sprained left thumb and bruised right rib. It seems most of my injuries from crashing lately are to my ribs. I hope to be back out there tomorrow.

35° is a nice temp to ride in if you're dressed appropriately. I much prefer being chilled at the start and for the first few miles than being overdressed and too warm once my body's furnace kicks in.

Looks like a nice group you have there. Thanks for sharing!

Yesterday's ride down along the Minnesota River trails. I don't ride there as often as I'd like to because for the past two seasons it's been flooded much more than normal.

one pal, your timing is impeccable. I also have a new video to share.

This one was taken this past Saturday at our group ride. I ride regularly with a bunch of old geezers, some are more than twenty years older than me, talk about getting inspired every ride. Two of them turned 69 and 70 respectively this past week so we did a 70-mile route in their honor.

Another good one pal, and I should mention that the humidity was likely well over 90% the whole ride, probably closer to 99%. Still need to hook up sometime, as you need some fresh meat to beat up on!

Looks like a great ride. We had one similar Saturday but I don't have video.

What camera and mount are you using? The gravel road video was just as smooth as the bike path! Or is this the magic of YouTube stabilization?

I'm using a GoPro Hero 4 with a handlebar mount. I remove what shakiness I can through the smoothing fearture in iMovie. It works okay on flat roads and paths but not so well on singletrack trails in the woods.

Global Fat Bike Day was Saturday. We had close to 50 riders in our group along the Minnesota River trails.

60 year olds aren't supposed to have this much fun, or so I grew up believing!

Video from yesterday's ride -- likely my last snowy ride for the season. The big melt is on here in the Minneapolis area!

Video from Sunday's Earth Day ride beginning and ending in Northfield, Minnesota. It's hard to believe that one week earlier we'd received more than 15 inches of snow. We couldn't have asked for more ideal conditions.
