We were exchanging gifts with our extended family last night and I was the lucky recipient of a case of Rush River BubbleJack.
Delicious and recommended. |

Try this one from Birmingham, Al if you can find it. It's nice, real nice. |

Love Ballast Points Big Eye IPA, that and Racer 5 are my go to IPAs. Pretty much everything Green Flash and Victory are great as well.

I've heard lots of good stuff about Pliny the elder!
I need to track that stuff down! |

I have some Wisconsin/Minnesota relatives visiting to California who are IPA fans. I no nothing about IPAs, I mostly drink lagers, pilsners, porters and stout for beer. Seems I should have some West coast options for them to drink for IPAs, something they may not get at home. This thread suggests these might be good options:

Gotta go to the brewery = Crooked Goat Mountain Goat IPA - in the Barlow in Sebastopol. My current favorite.

There are probably a ton of local small batch producers as well. |

Elysian Space Dust is really tasty. They had it at St Marys MT when we were at Glacier this summer and I totally enjoyed the few I had. Should have brought some home but they didn't make it all the way.

Ok, added some to the list. I will probably go to Total Wine and get individual bottles of a variety of these and hope that some of them are available in the Midwest and if not, then at least they have had a new beer experience during the California visit!
