I looked and looked and finally found a place that had I think a 20% discount or something on it, some wallet site (I think BackCountry has them too?). And honestly, yeah it's a lot, but it's an investment, both timewise and in my phone.

Go to Target and walk to the electronics clearance rack. There you will often find slim neoprene zippered wallets for cameras and play stations for just a few bucks. The neoprene keeps things dry and stretches for when you may be carrying more in the case. You can also check Amazon.

that's actually what i've been considering. i've got a jersey wallet from SoulRun that I like and hasn't ever let me down, I just wish it was slightly shorter.
