OT: Big Wind!

Hope our pals on the New England coast didn't get blown away last night! Wow, even here in VT we had gusts over 70mph, 100 on the mountain tops. I'd have been hunkered down on Martha's Vineyard last night, with my bikes under the bed for safe keeping... yikes.

I attempted to make it into my office downtown today. no go.

my local train line is out of business.

lots of down tree limbs and some very real localized flooding. looks like a mini war zone out there.

hope everyone else is safe with minimal damage.

It was windy for sure, Rob, and we lost power for a while, but emerge unscathed, thankfully!

Don't know. It was too dark outside. Schools were delayed.

Schools closed due to power outages. Much of the State is in the dark though we've been lucky (knock on wood) so far...only lost power for about an hour. It was touch and go there though since it went out right after I made my first espresso of the morning. What Am I going to do about my second triple shot!!! Came back on just in time.

I'm a coffee prepper so I was ready any way...

Power down in Andovers and Billerica this am, per the interwebs.

Schools closed but I have to go to work?!?
How is THAT fair?

Lots of leaves, puddles, a branch or two on a raw ride in.

We lost a couple of small trees, but no power outage. Good think I cleaned the gutters late Saturday!.

Now is eerily calm, and a whole lot colder! Weird pressure change--I heard that we hit some kind of low for barometric pressure before the whole thing blew through, hence the strength of the wind...

We had so much rain last night that the stream/pond went from basically empty to full in one night. Lots of downed trees and branches to attend to though.

Was awake all night with my dog alternating from being on my pillow (a 70 lb shepherd mix) to standing over us while drooling to being in the bathroom hunkered up against the tub after big gusts.
