If you have, let's say, 6 or 7 $12K bikes you do not want a beater bike for the trainer as it's one more bike.

It's not like your $12K bike is going to explode on the trainer anyway.

I will just buy a new $13k bike with the latest and greatest to replace my old $12k bike. Besides, why I want to use a beater bike in my $1,300 trainer and in front $4,000 83 inch tv? 🤣

Is it winter yet? Has it started snowing across the US? I can't believe we're having these kinds of discussions already... Please, get out and enjoy the autumn weather on your bikes.

Help me understand this - I don't get why people ride their $12k bike on trainers

I chuckle too - everyone knows you pay your butler’s chauffeur to ride your 12k bike on your 1k trainer!!!

What is this world coming too?

Some of the new trainer bikes look pretty interesting and don't take up a lot more space than just the trainer. Although there is some possibility that you have to buy a multi-million dollar house so you can look out the giant window like in the Peloton ads.

This doesn’t seem like it is a productive conversation at the moment

If I missed the point, please feel free to start a new thread
