Nice bike! Dave sure knows how to build some sweet riding bikes!

Shenandoah Valley huh? Grew up in Rockingham County, most of the family is still back there.

Have you ever done McKenzie pass ???

That's on my 'bucket list'. I'd like to do it when it's closed to car traffic but the only time we make it up to Portland or Black Butte is summertime.

If you are an early riser riding the east side ( Black Butte) in the summer morning does not have much traffic.

Yup. I've hit it from both sides. It's a great ride for sure.

From Sisters, it's good. I more prefer riding it up from the other side. That side has some switchbacks and stuff that is pretty pretty. All in all, it's a great ride. Get up here and do it!

MTB McKenzie River Trail is also a top top trail in the US. Though I think a few of the (necessary) bridges are still out. Damn fires.

Training for le tour du croissants - way too many meters of elevation in the French Alps next month. It's important to train the legs, lungs and the stomach.

If you can get there mid week, traffic is nearly non existent FYI.

After getting turned away when IDOT closed the approach to the gate while still closed, I went last July and went up a July Friday morning.

If you do it, txt me if you want company...

From a previous post I did in this thread...

One of our stops on our drive down to Houston, TX was an overnight stay along the Riverfront Pkwy in Chattanooga, TN. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit the Lynskey facility but when the opportunity arises, would love to go back and spend more time in that city.
