It closed up back in 2014/15 when I lived in San Diego the first time. My LBS at the time helped buy out a bunch of his inventory of wheels and parts. I met Justin a few times, he was always super nice to me. He had already pretty much shut it down by then and I never got to see inside the shop when it was booming.

He had quite the following and sold tons of high end bikes for many years, but what I remember is he lost his desire (got burned out as many do) to be in the industry.

He brews beer and does a bit of other stuff now.

Not to many of these were made, so a bit of a barn find. Carnielli decal (Bottecchia) with Columbus Tretubi Aelle, 55cm, not a high end frame but I imagine it would build up to a nice unique rider and currently at a very good price.

I don’t know, I may have missed it, but it appears the guy can’t even bother listing a size?! Further, the welds on the headtube aren’t the prettiest as it has that toothpaste look. And I agree, the price is a bit ambitious as you can find a new Ritchey for almost the same price, if you don’t mind Ultegra mechanical.

Good Luck!

I wouldn’t pay that much for either bike, but I like everything about this more than the current model. I love the color, I love the curved stays, and 9000 is probably my favorite shimano group made. Goodness, she is pretty. It’s rare I wouldn’t change a darn thing and this is one of those times.

I love the paint. Older Campagnolo triple is probably what is holding the sale.

Long Island City -

Hi,
This is a "garage sale / culling" as I have three Serotta I'd like to sell (4700 OBO), ideally to one buyer. Pics, more or less, available upon request / as I have them.
Bike 1 - HSG Serotta Steel Cyclocross (50 or 52cm) - Campy Record (10 spd) drive train and shifters. Mavic Kysirum wheels. No seat post. No known dings or dents. Was raced. Not disc break.
Bike 2 - Serotta Nova Pro (lugged steel). 50cm. Mostly campy record (vintage), with some other parts mixed in.
Bike 3 - Duetti, size MM. SRAM Etap. Zipp cockpit. Good condition. Never raced, never down.
I am 5'7, with a shorter inseam (29), and these bikes fit me real well. The Nova and Duetti are in my apt, so I can take photos upon request. The CX bike is in my storage unit about a mile from apt. Due to Covid, I'm not going there to take pics, but I have some of me riding the bike.
Like I said, this is me clearing out some bikes...I prefer one sale to multiple...I am open to offers...I have two other Serotta frames hanging on my wall that I would like to build up, thus the sale.
