Both of these past two gravel rides are stunning. I think you really strike a perfect balance between injecting personality and some artistic flavor into the builds while not overdoing it.

Just waiting for some bar tape and hammered black fenders. This one has a bit of it all, clearance for 650x48's with fenders, disc brakes with internal wiring, polished stainless lugs, custom fillet stem, custom front rack, internal dynamo wiring, fade paint job. Glad it's staying local so I can see it around.

Like that stem! What made you decide to put bolts on front? Also, is this a purple to brown faded paint or is it just the way the sun is catching it that gives this perception?

Sorry I missed this comment. I put the bolts in the front for aesthetic reasons. Being that the stem had a tall stack height I though the bolts in front under the extension tube would minimize the overall look of the rather tall stem. And yes, it must be the light, it is a purple to purple fade, lots of metallic in there. Thanks for asking.

It's been a while since I've posted anything, moving is a chore and moving a shop adds more than twice the work. Anyway, happy to be moving along again. Here is the beginning stages of a modified lugset, adding extra long tangs which will be sufficiently thinned after brazing. Often I find that lugs transition from one tube to the next are too "creased" looking so I will add a fillet around the lugs radius to smooth the transition. Below is a before and after photo for reference.

Odd trick of the lighting and the bead blasted shell. The threads are indeed still intact.....or maybe I'm creating an entire new bb standard

These elongated and thinned lugs are going to look very dramatic. I love all of the nuance that you are adding.

On a side note, that seat lug without the top tube reminds me of a baby bird from the side-profile. Give that lug a worm!

Thanks everyone, I don't think there will be a part on this frame that hasn't been reworked with the files. Also, funny note on the bird lugs, my wife has commented in the past the very same thing specifically on this set
