It’s nice how they have slowly decreased the price of their core collection over time. This one has the brevet shammy and the pockets, all at the same price point as the older core ones with the classic shammy.

I really want to get a pair, but have no good excuse to until at least one of my current ones start going bad.

I only have 1 pair, Rapha core bibs. I don't want to wash after every ride so I'd like to get another pair of bibs so I can rotate. $115 for another regular Core bib or $150 for this cargo..hmm

The Core Cargos have the classic chamois.

I read that the bib material is heavy and hot.

I too was wondering this.

Really stuck between the cheaper Core vs. splurging for the higher end cargo bibs.....

Any opinions there?

i will never get cargo bibs because they will mess with my aerodynamics.
maybe someone can quantify how much does it costs in watts to stuff an orange in there.

I have the brevet cargo bibs ($270). They are hands down my favorite Rapha bibs. With that being said, they are water-resistant and too hot to wear in here in New Mexico for most of the summer. I use them as spring/fall bibs which kinda sucks because the brevet pad is amazing.

I have not tried the Core cargos yet but as I mentioned before, I was told by an RCC member that they are very warm to wear.

I would not want to carry any "cargo" in lycra bibs.

These are some bummer reviews. I was looking for a win.
Guess I'll get another pair of the core bibs.

Mine was more of a comment vs review as I have no real world experience but these shorts...

But it still wouldn't be my preferred way of carrying stuff vs holding it in a jersey pocket, saddle bag, etc.

Hm yeh, just checked their site and that’s what it says. I remember reading it a few months ago on their preview page it had said brevet pad. Maybe it was a mistake. I guess they’ve edited since then.

In that case I wouldn’t get them unless they go on sale. The regular core shorts are good value at 115. I don’t need more pockets as it is right now, but it wouldn’t hurt to have them if needed.

I have the Brevet Cargo Bib. It’s my favorite, hands down.

I haven’t had it for a summer yet, but i wouldn’t be surprised if it was warmer than other options. So far, so good tho.
