Seven decal rant

I like the look of these decals from seven. If I was going to place some decals, I think I would choose these.

Cost of a set? $200.00..... For decals. And that's not for all the pretty colors, just one.

I'll continue on decal-less.

Rant over.

I dunno. I added a set to my cart and it pops up $200.00.

Seven decals

Those are the "custom" decals made to match Chris King colors. Standard colors are much cheaper. I had the same complaint when I ordered my Seven. If your buying new, I think the beadblast option was only slightly more. I'm assuming someone with average computer skills could design and print their own. My computer skills are way below average, so I went with the beadblast.

Except those don't really match any Chris King products very well.

$200 for decals is nuts, and I spent 6 years with a vinyl plotter and a business that did graphics and decals. Custom time, custom vinyl, special order and you're MAYBE at 1/4 of that. The logo would be simple to replicate and plot, there isn't that much to those decals.

Now, if they were custom ti anodizing the frame's logos to those color matches, then $200 seems reasonable.

Yes, the standard red, black or whites are reasonably priced, but for $200 I'm going to need Chris king to come out and personally apply the logos himself.

As far as I can tell, it is only metallic looking. I don't care if it matches the headset.

edit: but the normal decals are $35, which is a very reasonable price for owners so I don't get what you're complaining about. Guess this is a rant thread
I want a custom color (other than black, red, or white) for something I have cooking in my head.

I also want to make sure they are the same size as original. You can very faintly see the ghost image of the original decal if you look closely at me down tube, and I don't want to have to go through the trouble of a frame polish to ensure it is gone, or have a custom set be off and still se the edge of the originals showing through.

This is why I hate restoration projects....the little things turn into so much more to get things right.

I have a feeling I'll just continue to rant and enjoy my decal free seven.

I have to admit, I do enjoy the fact that people have to look real close to id it as a seven.

Even though we know it's not about the bike, sometimes, we know secretly that it is.

I am sure you can get someone to print you decals for way way way less than $200. Tons of sites around, I would send some emails if I was you

I think you would have to pay me to decal a ti frame.

I'm good with paint, ano, contrasted finishes and engravings but I would pass on decals.
