That’s the same email address that’s been used on other forums by the group of scammers.

Is that until they hit a post count or no PM at all?

He actually has one post and has been here for more than a year. All those who joined before 1 April 2020 have access to the PM tool even if their post count was less than 30. They were grandfathered in.

Correct, they have to hit the 30 post count before they can PM.

uugggh so annoying there are these trolls in such a fine space

It's like a poop stain on a gorgeous pair of your favorite bibs. Sigh.

I've had only really excellent interactions on this forum, sales and otherwise. Bought a few high end frames, sold one here and another to a member here but through Craigslist. Always positive. Gotten great advice from people here, even made a few efriends.

A pox on these stupid jerks. Can the mods send them a 'worm' that opens a dancing banana when they fire up their emails?

Once a poster has a couple hundred posts under his/her belt they are almost certainly legit and decent folks.

Are you buying or selling? If you are buying, then make sure you don't do F&F with PayPal. You can always ask them to send you a picture of the item with today's date written on a piece of paper in the picture.

If you are selling, then the risks are less because you are the one receiving the funds.

Has anyone else been contacted by someone who signed up from earlier this year (but having zero posts), specifically looking to make a purchase?

I'm wondering if it would at all be prudent to sell to someone like this.

Not recently, but I have sold several things to 0 post members - I tell them the only way is Friends and Family payment.
