SUS!
Not sure whether or not he is a legit scammer, but he doesn't sound to me like he is pulling a fast one.

As someone not from the USA myself, I have a foreign Paypal account as well, and what he said about the address is true. My Paypal account links my address to my home local address, which is located in Singapore. Most times, direct shipping internationally is a lot more expensive, and it is cheaper to go through a forwarding service, based in the USA. Granted, I always transact using PayPal Goods and Services, and I think that is fair for both parties.

Of course, it's up to the discretion of the seller to decide if 1) it is worth the hassle to ship an item via the forwarding service, 2) the buyer is legit.

Just my thoughts

Also Jimberello states he has several successful transactions with Paceline members. Perhaps ask him for the names of some and reach out to the Members to verify him? Plus being a member since 2016 imho adds to the possibility he is legit. Ultimately, as stated, it is up to the Seller and his or her comfort level with the deal.

FYI- Just completed a sale to Jimberello with paypal pymt received ($275) without issue. His paypal address is a mexico address but was comfortable with shipping the item to him c/o a valid California bike shop’s address he specifed. With view of the transaction details, Paypal charged him ~ 10% fee to send funds to a US paypal address.

I had forgot that I had posted this.

I ended up selling a few items to Jimborello and all went smooth !

A buddy of mine owns a Bike Shop here in Solana Beach and it turns out that Jimborello is a long time customer of his that he has shipped stuff to for many years

Yeah, same here. Just made sure to get payment cleared, then sent to bike shop after talking with owner who vouched and also agreed to sign for insured package.

The details at first sound a bit sketch, but if due diligence is performed and all protective measures taken then deal will go smoothly.

That assumes anything the scammer appeared to be is true.

Just to be clear I was not the OP of this thread and had no opinion of Jimborello's legitimacy. I simply offered a suggestion that the OP could do some research to make a more informed decision. Thank you.

Anyone have their snazzy Trek stolen up in Glendale by chance?

Or this is just a scam.

Heads up:

crotchrocket member appears to be a scammer

until he explains himself in a message to me about our deal. Paid him, he confirmed, did not ship, put it back up for sale. Now won't accept my PMs.
