not putting you on the spot specifically, but you could have saved all that work and headache if you had used the proper paypal service which would have cost a few bucks for the protection.

i have said time and time again here, dont send people you dont know payment to purchase items vie friends and family.
It was my mistake.

Odd - I just sold him some tires earlier this month without issue. Good communication, immediate payment, and even a follow-up thank you.

On general principle, I'm also going to file a small claims action against him so I can provide a service to the community and register and collect on a judgment that will include the original principal, as well as filing and service fees. I hate deadbeat scumbags.

His posts seem substantive and the whole arrangement seemed square. But a week ago he just disappeared. If he refunds my money, I won't move forward as I indicated. I sent him an email days ago from my work account giving him fair warning.

Oh boy, I didn't expect an attorney admit lack of judgment on the record so easily.

With that said, I hope you receive either a refund or the stem. Personally, I'd go for the refund, as I wouldn't trust the person who tried to bilk me.

Would be interesting to hear of legal precedence and matters of law around this. For one, does the local small claim court even have jurisdiction for what is clearly an interstate transaction.

Good luck - hopefully there was simply an extenuating circumstance and everything will be cleared up.

I've made transactions on this forum for years and have never had a problem. I also hope he emerges, says he was out camping with friends or something, and makes good on his obligation. I've sent him numerous messages and an email and have waited for days before outing him. Note he was on the forum yesterday and still hasn't responded to my messages.

Got a visitor message on my profile page from user “Antre” that someone had what I was looking for and to email this person. Obvious scam.

I go to great lengths to try and weed out the scammers from the new user requests, but they are getting better at avoiding getting caught.

I’m sure like the actual weeds around my house, it’s impossible to eradicate. Thanks for all your efforts, gents.
FYI, I wouldn’t be heartbroken if the visitor messages on my profile page were to be disabled. Not sure if anyone actually uses it.

Not a peep from 520arachnid. Guy is a complete POS. I haven't taken action yet as I've been busy.

Hey all,

be on the lookout for username 'jimborello'. He tried pulling a fast one on me yesterday. After I insisted to do paypal and made an exception to ship to his Mexico address, he hasn't replied.

he seems to have tried this 'paypal send invoice scam' in the past

SUS!

Mods, will you please ban 520arachnid? The guy is still actively working items supposedly for sale but he is a scammer.
