20 racliffe looks like is a big building.

Always map the addresses because well could be like a warehouse from somebody that send stuff to asia. Know like 4 people of sellers at ebay that got that problem, the buyer gives the address of a local inbox that send the stuff in a container to destination, so the guys in asia goes around that way when the seller doesnt send overseas.

Always check the physical addresses, always.

Hopefully this will get sorted out, but I see that he hasn't been on the forum for a bit...Last Activity: 04-15-2020 11:54 AM

a member with 0 posts PMd me regarding my WTB chainring thread. I said with scammers and all, I wouldnt feel comfortable unless he shipped it first then I paid once received.

Is there any scam that could bite me in the a** even if he ships first and I pay with Paypal?

Seems like you would be pretty safe if you received the goods and then you sent the payment via PayPal. But please do NOT use the friends and family option.

I thought they needed 30 posts AND 30 days on the forum to PM?

The people that joined before this recent issue with this scammer were grandfathered in since they previously had access to the PM tool. Those that joined after this issue, do not have access to PM's.

Just a heads up, I received a similar scam response to what has been shared elsewhere. Not sure if this is helpful but here are the details:

Account name: dannymd

Email: Joseph Tyler in Virginia has it for sale. You can contact him through josephtyler05a@gmail.com. I got some parts from him, you can thank me later!

Yup. I just received the message from the same forum member regarding my WTB thread.
Thanks to this thread, I thought something was off so I did a little research and will not respond.

thanks again for confirming.

it's amazing to me how much time these scumbags will invest to try and scam forum members. no matter what rules we put in place, they seem to be willing to continue to work the system and try the scam.

ugh.

good looking out guys.

Looks like these guys are working many forums with the same scheme. Here's a link to a BMW forum, and our friend Danny was trying to do the same there too.
