https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/d/...699649360.html 68cm Gunnar Crosshairs - $1250 image 1 of 5 1 12345 © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap (google map) bicycle type: cyclocross condition: excellent frame size: 68cm make / manufacturer: Gunnar model name / number: Crosshairs wheel size: 700C 68 CM Gunnar Crosshairs. I purchased and built up this frame several years ago and still love it but, unfortunately, it does not see enough use to justify keeping and needs to go. This is a Gunnar steel frame (built by Waterford) with a steel Gunnar fork. The color is a sort of speckled green/gold and was a one-off/color-of-the-year when the bike was built. It is a joy to ride and will take you almost anywhere. Parts are a little older but still function well. Geometry chart can be found here: http://gunnarbikes.com/site/bikes/crosshairs/ . Seat height is @ 88.5 cm as pictured (I'm a bit over 6'7"). Great bike for taller riders! -Dura Ace Shifters (7800, I think? It's all 10 speed). -105 Front and Rear Derrailleurs -180mm Sram Apex Crank -DT Swiss custom built wheels--240s hubs and R.R 1.1 rims. -TRP CX9 Brakes (stop much better than Cantis!) -33.3 Jack Brown Tires (Slicks) -Deda Deep bars with Handlebra leather bar tape. -Ritchey stem, seatpost, and headset I also have a rack and full fenders that were used briefly if you want to turn this into a great commuter. Text or email if interested. Will delete this ad when it is gone. |

He also has that Crosshairs on Facebook for $1200 which is a great price. If it did not overlap my Clockwork I would be very interested, that color is very unique.

PSA: Serotta Atlanta 62L $990 SF Bay Area
62cm Serotta Atlanta - in blue with Serotta F1 fork; looks like Dura Ace 7400/7700 build. I think the L in the serial number indicates long top tube, but measurement isn't in ad. Mis-listed as a titanium bike.

And the Gunnar Sport is gone. Phew. I can go back to saving up for a titanium big tired disc frame!

Does this frame, fork and components look too good to be true? That's a nice package for $499. A good fit for me, as well.

66cm Serotta
Just stumbled on this browsing eBay. The beginning of the description reads: This bicycle belongs to a local client of ours, one of the owners of the Serotta Bicycle Brand. Was one of the Serotta principals tall enough for a 66cm seat tube?

Dang that would be just my size but if I'm gonna get that I'd have to get John's DS first.

Biggest bike. Ever?
“This is certainly the largest frame we've ever had in stock - 76cm seat post CTT, 62cm top tube CTC, 126mm rear stay spacing, (6 or 7 speed, easily cold set for wider cassettes). Reynolds 531 frame & forks, Campagnolo dropouts front and back, frame number 31781. Tange Allez headset, a little surface rust near the bottom bracket. This frame really does deserve a good home to go to, (and those ARE standard 700C wheels in the photo)! NB Auction is for frame & forks only. PS I understand from Ken Bird's family that this was built in the 1950's/60's for Chris Greener, who was Britain's tallest man at 7' 6 1/4" https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F173616737205 |

^ That's huge, shipping to the states would be a fortune.

According to Wikipedia, Chris Greener was born in 1943. It's highly unlikely that frame was built in the 50s or 60s. Given that it has 126mm rear spacing, top tube braze-ons and braze-ons for downtube shifters, I'd guess late 70s or early 80s. The Classic Lightweights site indicates that Ken Bird was a mechanic on TdF teams in the 60s.
