I hadn't originally considered posting this on the Paceline, but it seems appropriate for this thread. I posted this chrome '72 Paramount for a friend over on bikeforums a couple months ago. 24.5-inch seat tube would seem to qualify it for Bigbike status. It happens to be sitting in my basement at the moment.

You are responsible for all the breathing (and a bit of fixing up) when riding this 69cm Eisentraut:

Edit: forgot to mention I saw this on BF C&V.

Over on the BikeForums "Classic and Vintage" subforum:
https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...ig-people.html

"Large, but beautiful, vintage Serotta Club Special frameset. 63.5 C-C seat tube, 61.0 C-C top tube, 21.9 head tube. Very nice candy apple red paint. Other than the few chips, the only flaw is the spot of corrosion on the downtube. Roughly slightly larger than a pencil eraser. Typical Serotta decals for the age; ie not great.
Pictures of frame have been confirmed by the original assembling mechanic and the shop owner as having been sold to Senator John Kerry.
$475 + actual shipping. NEW PRICE $250 + shipping"

25”/63.5cm MIKE "APPEL" Custom Steel Road Bike DURA ACE 7400 - $1,200

25”/63.5cm MIKE "APPEL" Custom Steel Road Bike DURA ACE 7400 - $1,200
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/7565946669.html
Beautiful 65cm Appel road bike built by one of Trek's early frame builders, Mike Appel. These bikes are not common as they were built by Mike Appel himself in limited production. The frame is beautiful - stunning paint and lug work. Apparently Mike was a perfectionist in his work - and it shows. This 65cm is dressed in full Dura Ace 7400 in incredible, lightly used condition. The build is a little funky with a super tall & short stem, some outdated handlebar tape, and non-period correct black easton post. If i were just a bit taller (best for riders 6'5-6'8) I would install a polished road stem, some new handlebar tape, and a polished aluminum seat post and ride off into the sunset. Alas, this stunning road bike is just a bit to tall for me so it's looking for a new home.

Email if interested. I would be more than willing to help get it fit and set-up for the buyer as I have some parts and do mechanic work professionally. Let me know if you'd like to go home with this stunner, all set up for your size and preferences. This bike deserves to be ridden.

for $1500 you can buy an entry level, mass produced road bike. Or you can ride away on this one of a kind steed.

Serotta Meivici SE 61cm - Boulder CL

From the posting…

https://boulder.craigslist.org/bik/7570717848.html

Serotta Meivici Custom SE Roadbike. The best Serotta of them all. Built when Serotta was at he pinnacle of their design and build capabilities. Immaculately maintained and in flawless condition. No scratches or wear on the frame and minimal wear on the components. All wear components (chain, cog set, chainrings, crank arms, seat, tires) have been replaced and are in good or like new condition. Included are the following:
Meivici Custom SE Frameset
Serotta F3 10.5 Fork
DuraAce 7800 10spd group; 170mm cranks. 50-34 Compact Chainrings. 11-28 Cog set.
Campagnolo Eurus D Pro Wheel set.
Ritchey Carbon WCS Bar and 120mm Stem
Chris King Headset
Eriksen Seat Post
Fizik Aliante Saddle
Arundle Carbon Water Bottle Cages
Continental 4000S Tires
Lizard Bar Tape
Original Sign Off Sheet
Sizing: Stack 61cm (seat tube is actually 57cm but virtually 61cm due to sloping top tube), Top Tube Length 58cm, Reach 38.5cm, Head Tube Length 20cm (22.5cm (top)), Wheelbase 102.5cm

This bike has a virtual 61cm seat tube with a 58cm top tube in a compact frame design. Built for a tall rider with long legs and shorter reach with the stiffest tubes and carbon at the time for a demanding rider. That said it has the smoothest ride of any bike I have ever ridden. Zero harshness over long distances and still delivers performance when asked.

XXL Rock Lobster Gravel @ $1700 on PC

This guy is very intriguing if the listed geo is close to actual. Was it a Paceliner's? Too bad it's wireless only, what a way to kill resale options and value.

I saw that one awhile back and emailed to inquire. If I remember correctly they list the TT at 63cm which seems super long. They said their bikes are boxed and in storage so no additional measurement could be taken or current measurements confirmed. I LOVE the 90s attitude of that bike though.

I tracked down the OG owner on instagram and was surprised to hear that the max tire size is 45mm front and 40mm rear (with shallow nobs and tight clearance). I guess it was built with vintage OS Easton tubes that Paul got from Bruce Gordon.
