I decided to get that track stem chromed after all- a good move if I do say so.

28.6 steerer, 120mm, 31.8 bar

Also a rando stem for a forum poster. 28.6 steerer, 110mm, 26.0 bar with integrated spacers and bell mount

Beautiful stems Eric I love the look of a quil but wanna get that look in a 1 1/8 stem and 31.8 bar. Your stems seem to be the ticket. Just curious what is the typical weight of a 120 stem with integrated spacers just ballpark.

Lots of variables based on stack height, specific stiffness, embellishment, etc.

I've only recently started throwing the occasional stem on the scale- I'd guess they generally range from about 160g to about 190 for something like a 110/120 with a point and "normal" (40mm-60mm) total stack (38mm or so of stem and up to about 20mm of "spacer").

I don't consider weight when I make these- it's safety and appropriate stiffness first. I've been presently surprised that they are pretty comparable to alloy stems (and in some cases lighter).

If memory serves, I think this was around 170g and crazybananas stiff.

Here are a couple of shots of some in process stems from the last week or two:

These are off getting their final chrome and powder. I'll update as they come out.

I have a few more coming up for my own bikes, as well as a Sachs, Colnago, another Kirk... Lots of great pairings!

do my eyes deceive me...when did you introduce the smaller bar-clamp hardware using a 4X bolt pattern?!

This week (sort of). I've done 4x in a larger pattern, and smaller double under and 3x open in the past-

There are other options, too- loads of them, really. If you haven't seen it yet it may not because "I don't do it", so much as "I haven't done it yet".
