Way before my time but was this part of how they were so well regarded in amateur racing?

Maybe they weren't, but I went to a quirky car museum last year and the owner was particularly enamored of Datsuns and had a whole room of them, most of them were his old race cars.

After selling my Audi on carsandbids.com I continue to receive their daily emails (don't know why I don't unsubscribe, I'm not in the market but apparently I find them interesting).

What has struck me most recently is how hot the market is for Honda S2000s. I think a low miles one sold recently for well over $30k 😱

It's getting harder and harder to find a decent platform for a fun car.

I really want a pre airbag and abs car too.

The great search!

Without researching when those technologies appeared, I'm guessing you are locking yourself into a pretty old car. Purchasing may be the least of your issues with parts costs and availability.

There are a bunch to choose from. An E30 is an obvious choice. A Volvo Amazon would be fantastic. A Fox bodied Mustang would fit the criteria.

I like to look at Historic Rally videos to fall in love with some really cool cars.

Might be a bit of a challenge to squeeze a bike in here somewhere, but how fun would it be to show up at the weekend coffee ride with this beauty.

Very elegant. Such a difference between what the europeans were doing in the late 50's than what we are building here in the US.

That would be very nice, but would require a very large budget to acquire one I’m sure.

Now if you did manage to get one, you might be able to fit a seasucker on the back.

I’m looking into one for my Boxster, I found a picture online showing one.
