Some of mine!
Basso Gap: De Rosa: And how about my Billato built Giordana rides? And these Greg Lemonds are italian steel beasts also built by the Billato Brothers. |

Here are a few older photos of mine - a '99 Cinelli Supercorsa w/Daytona 10.

Well that makes two, can't claim to have come up with it myself either, all kudos go to Zullo:
BTW, a Grandis OverMax is on top of my wishlist! Beautiful! Last edited by Gsinill; 02-14-2018 at 11:54 AM. |

Here's one of my favorite Italian marques:
I've got a Casati Gold Line waiting to be built-up. I'll try to snap a photo this evening. |

Great pics in this thread, and I really like the first bike on the first page. I wonder, though...wouldn't this configuration make shifting a bit cumbersome?

Dentis are great, but not well known at all in the US. There seem to be a few regions around certain shops that imported them. I don't have any photos right at hand, but I have three of them. One is a "Moser-style" time trial bike with curved tubes, internal cable routing, 26" front wheel, pantographed parts, etc. Denti did lots of work with curved tubing, indented/shaped tubing, reshaping the profiles of fork blades/seatstays, etc...

Regarding the Casati, I would not like the shifter location either, internal cables or not. Nice looking bike otherwise. I have a 95 De Rosa Giro de Italia, but the paint is too faded to post a pic. It was Ferrari red, now it is a faded pink. Still rides heavenly.

My friend has one of those GAN LeMonds. It's beautiful! He used to race it, and after backing off of the scene it still gets a lot of use. I wish it was my size...
He's looking for an era-correct Rock Shox to pimp it up Duclos-Lassalle style. |

I have a couple of vintage bikes with top mounted shifters. It's not as bad as you think, and if you have a double shift to perform you learn pretty quickly to do it all with one hand. I was reminded of one downside while riding my Denti with these shifters a couple of weeks ago...With heavy gloves it's a little tough to get at one lever without bumping the other.
