<sigh> and here I sit, recovering from bronchitis. Not going to risk it for one nice day. But I want to!

November was one of my ridingist months of the year with December not far behind. Now that the arctic air is back in the arctic where it belongs...still at it. Digging my cold weather riding. Lo-mid 20s and snowless roads and I’m out. Today was so balmy that I rode a healthy ( for me) 40 miles at a really crisp ( for me) pace.

Excuse please if the foregoing came off like a brag; it’s the first winter I’ve done this and I’m enthusiastic. Beats the living s%#t out of a trainer.

Yep. I'll admit I'm curious about the rocking trainers that the DIY folk are coming up with, like this:

But even so...nope. Being outside is pure joy. It's a mental health day in an hour (or two). When it gets really cold and snowy I'm on my mountain bike, and if gets stupid cold I'm at the Y playing basketball.

My trainer's collecting dust in the basement.

I've ridden 422 outdoor miles so far in January. Today was the warmest at 62 degrees. Shorts and a long sleeve jersey. My goal is to have 1000 by the end of February.

Glad to hear my pals finally caught a break and got to ride outside.

If you folks further north get to ride outside, can you imagine what the weather was like yesterday for those who live down south?

I better not say.

I've been in between the flu and cold for the last week, feeling really guilty letting this sunny day go by while I lay on the couch.

I got out today and yesterday. Had to go MTB on the road yesterday due to some random slushy areas.

Road bike today for a couple of hours. It hit 50F here. It's foggy, misty and wet. Had to dodge foggy areas but it was a great ride. Actually rode with 2 teammates. It was awesome.

Finally got out today too! I’ve missed the joy of being on the road for to long. Glad to be back in the saddle..

Great weather - was in NYC for the weekend - I was so surprised by the number of cyclists riding on major roads- yikes, seems like a tough place to ride.

I got out for a quick 20k during nap time. After serious cold weather the plus 5 Celsius felt really balmy and nice.

Funniest thing was having year's fastest strava segment. I'm never fast and rated in the 50th percentile on the segment.

Looks like bike is back away until March. Luckily I start a track fitness class next week.
