Awesome! Brings back memories from my youth in SJB (pre-cycling). Have to make it back to the area with a bike.

Before I moved here, I had no idea there were so many dirt/gravel roads in rural Massachusetts.

It brings back memories of skateboarding Uvas dam in the 70s for me.

New England, and the upstate NY area is the best i've ever encountered.
include paved riding with that hyperbole as well.
i'm desperate to move back to that region.

still too dry

We've had an unusually dry Spring around here... finally got a fair amount of rain yesterday after 3 wks of minimal precipitation. Not as bad as the drought of 2012, but still.

Took this trail, expecting some mushy conditions and that I'd be 'undertired'. Nope.

Put some gears on the Mooto-X and went rambling around the local dirt roads after the rain yesterday!

Now that it’s drying out a bit from the spring rains, the dirt roads are starting to open up again.

I’d heard of D2R2, but I honestly did not expect this much dirt/gravel before moving here. It’s fantastic riding.

//edit: whoops! Didn't realize I'd posted this twice. Sorry!

Lake Lure, NC

This was at the end of the ride. Way better views elsewhere but wanted to keep moving, not used to all this climbing 3400ft in 34 miles.
