iPhone Handlebar Mount
I did do a search here, but wasn't satisfied with the results.
I have a friend looking for a handlebar mount for her iPhone 10. A stem mount is another option. However, she has a real short stem (80mm or less). It's gotta be simple; no special cases or complicated installation of the phone to the mount. Prefer if nothing stays with the phone when released from the mount. Of course, it would be nice if it were secure All suggestions welcome!

I don't know if there's anything out there that uses a non-proprietary attachment device that is 'secure'. Genuinely. Quadlock is probably the only device I would trust, given the cost of a phone.

Is this person going to be riding inside, outside or both?
Inside, most holders at fine. Outside, there are virtually zero options that don't require a 3rd party case or someway to fix the phone to the bike due to its size and weight. If I had absolutely had to ride with my phone outside and inside I would get a Garmin out front mount and pair it with this case. I would also be sure to use the lanyard as a failsafe. https://www.shapeways.com/product/7U...li=marketplace It's just a big device to be on a mount bouncing around with the road. |

iPhone Handlebar Mount
I bought this to mount my phone on a trainer and it seems sturdy enough. I put the XR in it.

Thanks for the replies.
I suspect she'll be doing more riding on the trainer than on the road. I think tuxbailey's suggestion is probably her best option. Thanks again for the responses.

I think when I was in REI they had two sizes for larger or smaller phones. |

Using this one for the indoor bike:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wanted one that positioned the phone 'out front' as much as possible and this one fit the bill. Most iphone mounts that I was finding either positioned the phone over the stem or just over the handlebars, which I found to be too close. edit: probably wouldn't use this for riding outdoors because its clunky. |

I usually just ride with my phone in my back pocket and haven’t used a bike computer in years (decades?), so I’ve been thinking I’d mount my phone as the computer. |

Although it requires a special case, I’ll recommend the Quad Lock. Simple to use, they have stem and bar mount options, and the price isn’t too outrageous. I’ve tried various clamp and band styles, Quad Lock is the most secure that I’ve used.

Another vote for quad lock. I have the stick on quad lock which fastened pretty securely to my existing otterbox phone case.
